Sleign bed plans for woodworking furniture

Here's an Americanized version of the French empire style. The name "sleigh bed" is derived from the scrolled, sleigh-like head and footboard. This project has the builder using a band saw to achieve the curvature of the legs, no steaming required. Both headboard and footboard are designed with large raised panels for an elegant appearance. Plans help you build either a full size, or queen size bed. We recommend cherry, maple, or birch. Dimensions: queen -- 63-1/8" wide x 87" long; full -- 57-1/8" wide x 82" long.
