Coffee table plans for woodworkers and woodworking

THERE are many simple changes the woodworker can make to this time-honored design, such as: a solid 1-piece table top, no/smooth molding, turned or straight leg supports, flat panel doors, or no storage area at all. This once popular 20" deep by 58" wide coffee table design goes especially well with 18th century English or Mediterranean furnishings when made in walnut, mahogany, or oak. As you can see from the photo sent in by a fellow woodworker, oak is a good choice. An extremely versatile design, the basic design and materials list can be easily altered for a more modern appeal. Any way it's finished, this project will make a craftsman proud of the effort. 16" tall.
