Ladder Back Chair Plans This type of chair was popular in America in the early 18th Century and is often described as a "four-back" chair to indicate the number of back slats used. We have altered the construction slightly to provide for more comfort, but it could generally be considered an accurate reproduction piece to the first half of the 1700's. Make either chair pictured with this plan, with or without arm rests -- they complement our Round Extension Table and Rectangular Extension Table. This piece is designed for either a drop-in rush seat or a padded slip seat which can be covered with your own needlework for a more personal touch. Dimensions: 21", 21", 43" high. #FD-190 Ladder Back Chair Plans . . . $10.oo |
