Chippendale Chest on Chest Plans The upper chest has five large drawers plus two smaller drawers at the very top.  It is an excellent project for the intermediate an advanced woodworker.  You are actually purchasing two plans -- one for the upper portion of the chest and one for the lower portion.  Build them together as shown or construct and use them separately.  The lower section of the chest is modeled after those made around 1750.  The cabinetmakers who emigrated from England often gave a Chippendale appearance to their work as exemplified by the bracket feet.  Make this chest of pine, cherry, walnut, or maple.  The overall dimensions of the chest: 19" deep, by 42" wide, and 34" high.  Clearly a watermark in your woodworking "career".
